19 Sept 2016.
So I am coming back to writing. There is so much I want to cover: The elections. sex trafficking and sexual violence, foreign policy, “terrorism, veterans issues, society and matters of war and peace. I have had so many issues living in my head and I have to talk about them. Plus, a lot of people want me to get back to writing.
See a lot of ignorance as well that I have to call out. We have the least qualified presidential candidate to ever run for president tying in the polls with arguably the most qualified candidate to have ever run. Sex trafficking and violence hasn’t gone anywhere and Black Lives Matter is talking about serious issues that need to be discussed. You all know how much I love talk about war and peace as well as foreign policy and there is so much to cover there. I also need to talk about the great American freak out that is called terrorism: Be afraid of the boogie man boys and girls.
So yeah, I am back here. I hope to write here at least once a day though would like to write more than that. I am also getting back to my other blogs My Journey into Film and Schroyboy so I have a lot of writing ahead. I want writing to be apart of my everyday life. I want to be known for my writings and the only way to do that is to write and write well. I know a lot of people want me to start again and I know this is what I am suppose to be doing.
So with everything that is going on in the world and here in America, I think it is time that I start writing on here in Notes from Outpost 187. This is a blog about politics, foreign policy and social issue blog, and there is much to write about. For those who know me know I have opinions and thoughts on a wide range of topics. I try my best to be thoughtful and take a Socratic approach to things. I also have a great interest in our world, and I want to share them with you all. I am merely trying to add to the discussion and contribute to our democracy.
I also would love to hear your opinions and thoughts. Please try to thoughtful and polite, but if you can’t be, I forgive you.
I have no problem with these people, and here is why, we will get smart, hard worker people that will contribute to our nation and help boost the economy, which I am all for. We get a lot of smart immigrants who go to our colleges, get out, start businesses and contribute to the economy. Excellent.
Also I do not want to take a mother or father away from their kids. That puts pressure on our desperately sad social services. I do not want to send a kid who came here as a child, grew up here and is American anyone else. All that kid knows is our country and being an American . He is an American.
Also immigrants do jobs that Americans will not do. Plan and simple. That crop is not going to pick itself. And this was recently proven when a farm put out a call for workers to pick their crops and they got no one to pick it. And that is just a hard fact.
I don’t get the hatred that is generated over people trying to make a better life for themselves in the supposed Land of Opportunity. .
These people are trying to obtain the American dream which, if they do, America is better for it, and boosts our economy. Which is a great thing. Also the business community wants something done because of just that.
We need to get over ourselves.
So you hear #GOP politicians say “I’m not a science when it comes to climate change” So my question is are they instant scientist if a doctor would say their child had cancer? Or is that somehow different.
Truth is if we did something about Climate Change, and invested heavily into renewable energy it would be an economic boom for our country, because people would be working and spending their paychecks into the economy. Remember, consumer spending is what creates jobs, not rich people.
I am very critical of President Obama. He is the President of the United States and I am a progressive, so as you can see, I would have a lot to be critical of. He has made decisions, policies, actions and inactions, that I have disagreed with; however, there is a difference between me and conservatives, I am critical of him for reasons based in reality, an area that conservatives rarely travel too. I am a progressive, not an old school, bleeding heart politically correct liberal, and I am also a realist. I also do not believe in hypocrisy. If you follow conservatives you will know that, since President Obama became President, they have lived in a world of hypocrisy. It is astounding how hypocritical the right has become, which I will write about in the future. And it is amusing to see how hypocritical my conservative friends are. Mind blowing. But, sadly, so are liberals. Which to me is enraging since we are supposed to be the adults room amongst the feces flinging children.
So in this blog you will see criticisms of POTUS when I disagree and praise when do I agree.
